Hi Gunjap!
It’s been a long time since I last shared my WHT00GRE Firefly – Enaira Custom. I felt so happy seeing my first modded kit being shared on your blog site and Facebook fan page. Thank you very much for posting my kit! Now, I would like to share to you the latest kit that I modified for an SD Competition here in the Philippines. I named him “SD Strike Harakiri – Enaira Custom”.
The story behind this kit is, I really like to have the SD Musha kit but I was not able to purchase one. A friends of mine, Seph (the owner of the blue marbled Susanowo that was featured here before), showed me his weathered SD Musha (Kite Custom) and I instantly felt envy of that kit. Being so envy of how good his SD Musha is built and modded, I decided to make my very own Musha kit out of the SD Strike kit I bought for the contest and use it as the theme of my modification.
I named my project “Poorman’s Modification” since Enaira Custom’s trademark is, “to use common materials for Gunpla Modification aside from those materials that are regularly used in modifying a kit”. Coffee Stirrers, used playing cards, some blank Disks and some Tamiya Mini 4wd parts are used in this project.
As a Musha that is inspired by Japanese Samurais, I used names that are related from the said race and custom. The names I chose are related to Suicide under the Japanese language. “Harakiri” literally means Suicide in Japan. The Katana (Japanese samurai) is named “Seppuku” which also means Harakiri. The lance is named “Jigai” which is the female ritual suicide. All terminologies can be seen at wikipedia (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Seppuku). Harakiri’s horse is named is “Kamikaze” which means “divine wind” in Japan (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kamikaze).
Out of the 24 entries, my little guy managed to be on the 13th place and was able to bring me home his prize, an MS Sight Lens 01 Builder Part set. As a starting modeler, having the 13th spot and bringing home a small price is not bad enough, actually, I could not ask for more for all I ever wanted is to finish every started project.
I would like to share the WIP folder in my Facebook account for you to see how I built my kit:

Again, I hope that you will like my work. Till next time Gunjap!
Arigato!
