Life-Size Zaku Debuts @ Gundam Exhibit in Amusement Park.
Full English Info
Nasu Highland Park, an amusement park north of Tokyo, has had a Bandai exhibit called “Bandai Character Toy Stadium” since March 2011. To celebrate the park’s 35th anniversary, it is remodeling the exhibit to incorporate more Gundam elements. Its centerpiece is the new “Zaku Repair Bay,” where visitors can gaze down upon a life-sized Zaku from a two-story viewing platform. The “Memorial Photo Corner” allows you to reenact famous Gundam scenes from a chair (a Zeon throne room, a Gundam cockpit, and a bar with Char, for example).
Other attractions are a “Timeline Corner” with four 1/10-sized Gundams, exhibits on the history of Gundam toys and the hobby surrounding them, a Gundam quiz, and a store selling Gundam merchandise exclusive to this park.
The new exhibit opened on March 1 and is scheduled to last until January 5. Other events the park plans for its anniversary include a six-story maze, a 3-D Nintama Rantaro movie, and a One Piece event in the summer.
