G – Who is David Ceremonia in the Gunpla Modelers World? And where do you come from?
D – Hi! Im John David Ceremonia I used to be “Davime” but since I broke up with my gf I turned it to Ver.Cerc (seriously guys, NEVER CREATE USERNAMES WITH YOUR GFS LOL). Im from Manila Philippines, and it’s an honor for me to take part in your interviews. also Im a memer of Team Nexus (hi guys! lol)
G – When did you start building Gunpla?
And when did you made your first Custom?
D – I started building gunpla way back when I was 9 years old, that was the time where I am able to watch Gundam Wing and I really liked what Gundams look like.
My first custom was in 2006 I think. I started by kitbashing an HG Freedom Gundam and an HG Destiny Gundam. It was terrible, haha but I enjoyed my first custom.
G – Do you have some inspiration for your creations?
D – Honestly, I get some inspiration from contests back then, but now I find specific people as inspiration such as awesome modelers like Eday Ng, NuNuNu, sir Phoon, sir Art, MDgelo and a few more people
They inspire me to improve my build through time. Also I was about to quit Gunpla but my family finally supported me and is fine with gunpla as long as I dont forget my priorities and will still focus on studying
(Gunpla is better than a girlfriend, its less expensive. LOL)
G – After you have finished snap-fitting a model, from where do you start to mod it?
D -Usually I start from the torso, I can’t resist extending the body height, as I always wanted my kits to have that Evo-ish look or in other words I like my Gunpla sexy XD
G – What do you think about Gunpla in all the World? modelers, attitude, modelers behavior etc..
D -Gunpla is really famous now, and here in the Philippines, I’m proud to say that when people find out that you buy Gunpla, they are amazed and will not bash you (well there are cases when they ask why you keep on buying toys, but its not a big deal for me) 🙂
Also, modelers here in the Philippines tend to have a certain division of groups. I really dont get it why there are a lot of groups or facebook groups here in the Philippines but Im still happy to say that
there is a positive outcome since there are still new members(who are new to the hobby and are being added to groups and exposed to gunpla) lastly you meet a lot of people due to various groups.
G – What do you think about GBWC Event?
D -GBWC is something I look forward to, since you get to compete with a lot of awesome modelers here in the Philippines, although there are tendencies where some complain why they lose (admittedly, I’m one of them before but I realized my building skills are not enough to take home the prize, yet 😉 well I hope so hahah!)
Also, GBWC is the time wherein you can get together with a lot of modelers around Metro Manila, even from other regions. You get to meet people with the same passion and I get HYPED when I’m in the event since all we see and talk about is all Gunpla Gunpla GUnpla food Gunpla!
G – Please some advices for modelers that wanna start building a gunpla for the very first time!
D -Dont be afraid to break some parts, it’s natural. Start from the basic such as seamline removal, painting; detailing e.g. panel lines, decals. (although I started kitbashing and I must say Im terrible with basic finishing skills but Im still trying my best to learn.) and if you think there is something wrong with your kit, don’t be afraid to start again.
If you would like some inspiration, visit the web and look for images that will inspire you to build (Gunpla related pls! or whatever suits you! hahaha!)
Lastly and most importantly, do it because you like what you are doing, not because it is trending but rather it is what makes you happy.

G – Future Projects?
D -I have an MG Astray Blue Frame which will be OOTB but painted, I plan to join the Mid year event here called GMKC.
I also have a not so secret build but, Im not telling till I finish the model kit haha.
