G – Who is babahobbyworks in the Gunpla Modelers World? And where do you come from?
B – hi gunjap! It’s an honour to be interviewed by you my friend, ok..my name is Mohd Nizan aka babahobbyworks from Sepang, Malaysia, i’m one of millions fans who support GUNPLA hobby, also a fans of Universal Century stuffs!
G – When did you start building Gunpla?
And when did you made your first Custom?
B – i started building gunpla for fun on 2004 or 05..then get addicted on 2008, influenced by my brother in law..and my first custom on 2011. After war diorama..simple one but it have its own story.
G – Do you have some inspiration for your creations?
B – yeah I’ve got my first inspiration from sir Angelo falconio, his work is arts! also from some of my friends modeler like Ichiro kazuhiro, Jonathan Leong Kwan Kitt from rangsangmas hobby (local), Becky Customizer, MejarBee, Naza model arts,cale project, Don Suratos, Ryukaze, Paul Velando and others name that i forgot (too many actually) thanx to them!
G – After you have finished snap-fitting a model, from where do you start to mod it?
B – Nahh i don’t made mods too much on my kits..maybe a little bit on weapons, coloring and weathering…honestly straight building and just change the color schemes.
G – What do you think about Gunpla in all the World? modelers, attitude, modelers behavior etc..
B – geee..GUNPLA is a fun hobby..it teach you how to be patience, precise and never give up..more on like a love/hate relationship..yeah if you finished the kit you love it but if some parts from the kit “Missing in Action” that where you hate it…but hey..it will trigger your brain to mod that parts..
G – What do you think about GBWC Event?
B – it’s a good platform for modelers to show their works, creativity and talent.
G – Please some advices for modelers that wanna start building a gunpla for the very first time!
B – first of all, the most important thing is LEARN to support ORIGINAL products! trust me its worth for your time and money.
– don’t be so desperately to collect so many series at one time..slowly build up your own character/customs.
– if you want to do the hobby..do it for the sake of your choice, not because of you want to be praise by someone or some community/group, go to the forum, blog or what every source you can learn some basic tools, skills of coloring,modification..etc..
– lastly..be humble and be original yourself! chill!! and yeah its pure fun hobbies..so enjoy it!
