G – Who is Don Waskito in the Gunpla Modelers World? And where do you come from?
D – hello i’m Don Waskito. I’m a gunpla lover, and a commission worker for custom model kit from indonesia. I’m also a member of the team nexus. An internasional group of gunpla modeler.
G – When did you start building Gunpla?
And when did you made your first Custom?
D – i know gunpla since 1994. But really build one started on 2006. My first custom was a 1/100 NG freedom gundam and it was horible… :p
G – Do you have some inspiration for your creations?
D – a lot of my inspiration come from what i read and see on the internet. Don Suratos, keita, eday, toymaker. They Are some of my fav modeler who inspire me alot. But mr 2old4toys is the one who first got me intrested om gunpla modeling, Fl1pme1ster is the one who got me into painting. I owe both of those guys.
G – After you have finished snap-fitting a model, from where do you start to mod it?
D – me personally i check the proportion of the kit. And usually start on the torso and legs first, then move to detailing.
G – What do you think about Gunpla in all the World? modelers, attitude, modelers behavior etc..
D – Gunpla is Great, it teach you patience and precision and i got some of my best friends from the gunpla world.
As for modelers attitude i have nothing to say. We all have our own personality.
G – What do you think about GBWC Event?
D – GBWC is a good thing. It’s a must have event, to show the world that Gunpla still here. But not a must do thing. You see, gunpla is an individual hobby. You get satisfaction from your own work. Not from a recognition of an event. And seeking a perfection is a non ending journey.
G – Please some advices for modelers that wanna start building a gunpla for the very first time!
D – don’t be afraid of mistakes. Just try your best at it. And practice. Because practice turns skill into reflex, and mistakes into learned lesson.
Honestly i rather see an ugly paint job than a mere snap fit kit. It shows that you have the will power to build a better gunpla.

D – a few resin kits and a signature build project for mechaspot, a local modelkit shop.
