本日6月25日（土）発売の2011年8月号で、「月刊ガンダムエース」はいよいよ創刊10周年となる。
この記念すべき号で、創刊号から連載が続く同誌の人気マンガ「機動戦士ガンダム THE ORIGIN」が、ついに最終回を迎えるが、今回これと同時にアニメプロジェクトが始動することが明らかにされた！
「機動戦士ガンダム」のキャラクターデザインを務めた安彦良和氏が、自らコミカライズした作品「機動戦士ガンダム THE ORIGIN」。 この作品のアニメプロジェクトとは、一体どのようなものなのだろうか？

Today (Jun 25th), the August’s 10th anniversary issue of Gundam Ace went on sale in Japan. With this issue issue the manga “Mobile Suit Gundam THE ORIGIN” comes to an end.
@ the same time a new project animated series based on this manga was announced to be in production.
Uchida Kenji & Mr. Yoshikazu Yasuhiko (President, Sunrise) published comments about the upcoming animated series.
