A marathon all-night screening of Mobile Suit Gundam Unicorn episodes 1-7 will be held at Cinema Sunshine Ikebukuro on June 7th, as part of the Ikebukuro Cinemachi Festival which runs June 6th–8th.
Ikebukuro Cinemachi Festival, which celebrates Ikebukuro’s unique position in relation to anime, will run anime films across five station-adjacent threaters and the Animate Hall, as well as hosting panels with staff and cast members.
Naka-Ikebukuro Park will host food trucks and a market, and events with the concept “combining anime and the city” will be held.
The Mobile Suit Gundam Unicorn screening event will let you hear directly from director Kazuhiro Furuhashi, writer Harutoshi Fukui, and producer Naohiro Ogata about the themes and production process of the series..
It’s also a rare chance to see the whole series on the big screen.
The staff panel will begin at 8:00 PM, and the show will begin on Screen 5 at Cinema Sunshine Ikebukuro at 10:20. Tickets are ¥5,200.
