Japan’s Ministry of Finance Staffer Arrested for Uploading Gundam UC!!!!!

Tochigi Prefectural Police arrested Osamu Hoshi, a 43-year-old staff member of the Ministry of Finance’s Kanto Finance Bureau in Tokyo, on Wednesday on suspicion of violating Japan’s Copyright Law on unauthorized public transmission. According to the police, the suspect uploaded Sunrise’s Mobile Suit Gundam Unicorn and other works to the FC2 video-sharing site on June 2.

The suspect allegedly admitted to the charges, saying that he wanted to show Gundam to other people. He also reportedly uploaded about 400 titles, mainly anime.
