RG Hi-ν Gundam Mark II Custom

PIXY’s amazing Mixing Build! RG 1/144 Hi-ν Gundam Mark II. Many images, full work description and credits

From the Modeler:

The fourth installment with a large amount of metal parts! I mixed the Hi-ν Gundam and RX-93ff ν Gundam to make it look like a Mark II.

This time, there are only 10 metal part thrusters, but I used about 170 φ1mm rivets, and about 250 rivets including other sizes. The rivets alone cost over 10,000 yen…

The RG Hi-Nu Gundam is the base, and the RG RX-93ff ν Gundam’s front and rear skirts, backpack, long-range fin funnels, bazooka, beam saber, and Vulcan pod from the RG Gundam Mark II are mixed.

I mixed the metallic and solid acrylics in the Gundam Mark II style to create a Metal Build-like texture. It’s hard to tell from the photo…

I changed the antenna from 4 to 2 to make it look like a Gundam Mark II, shortening it. If you change the antenna and coloring, it looks like a Mark II at first glance, right? I think the influence of the Vulcan pod is the biggest factor.

Upper body (rear)
I had a hard time with the decals because I changed the color of the parts (from blue to gray, etc.), and there were many places where I couldn’t use the white decals of Hi-ν. I tried to put on a lot of them without making it too much.

Lower body (front)
The legs of the Hi-ν Gundam are rounded, so I sanded them down a lot to get the angular feel of the Mark II. I made the calves so thin that the parts were visible through them, so I think it looks pretty sharp.
