サカナ’s MG 1/100 Sinanju Alternative custom: images, full info and credits

MG Sinanju is painted in metallic blue and candy to create a blue x white gold exterior. Metal and etched parts are also used.
Ver.Ka box art style appeal shot
I edited the kit’s box art style appeal shot with reference to the Sinanju Ka and Sinanju Stein Ka. All the weapons are written out in the small letters. It was a tough job.
I tried to imitate the original lettering under the feet, but there is no Sinanju Unit 3… so I decided to make it appear as if it was introduced in “Operation Phoenix Hunt 2”.
I always do this boss-like pose when I can open my hands. Bael’s is the best.
In addition to the backpack, which stands out, I’ve used lots of etched parts on each joint, thruster, and some of the armor.
The beam axe is huge! This time I only intend to display it with a bazooka, so I didn’t paint the clear blade.
I changed the engraving from the original black x gold to white x gold. I think I was able to give it a knight-like image.
I didn’t want to hide the metallic exterior too much, so I used only a few decals.
The internal frame is painted with
NAZCA Mechasurf Super Heavy,
Gaia Surfacer EVO Gunmetal, and
Gaia Color Star Bright Iron.
I used
Creos RX-78 Yellow and Gundam Marker Metallic Red in some parts.
I felt the same when I made the MGEX Unicorn, but the UC units are big and great!
I still have the Sazabi Ka, Nu Gundam Ka, Narrative Ka, and Stein Ka, so I’m looking forward to it.
For the engraving, I sprayed clear over the gold, and painted Tamiya enamel white on top of that.
All that’s left to do is carefully remove the white with enamel solvent and it’s complete.
The blue exterior is made by applying primer,
indigo… Gaia Ex Black → 3 layers of Creos Crystal Color Sapphire Blue
blue… Gaia Ex Silver → Gaia Clear Blue
Gaia Ex Silver → Creos Deep Clear Blue
Tamiya Squid Blue
changing the color for each part.
Finally, I finished it off with Bone Paint Full Gloss Clear,
which is the only gloss finish I use.
It’s on display with MGEX Unicorn.
