UD831’s scratch built 1/100 Devil Gundam

UD831’s scratch built 1/100 Devil Gundam (MG Shining based) images, wip, info and credits

From the Modeler:

I made this from scratch using MG Shining.

The upper body is seamless and smooth like a car body, with the idea that DG cells are a collection of nanomachines.

The Gundam head is in the process of regeneration and evolution, and I expressed a dangerous feeling that it might fall apart.

I lined it up with MG God Gundam

I took a picture of it like a scene from the movie with figure flame effects and LEDs.

I checked the scale and balance with sketches and styrofoam.

The spine? was made movable by connecting Kotobukiya’s joint parts.

The head and arms were reused from MG Shining.

The arms are made from leg frames due to their size.

The body, shoulder armor, and lower arms were scratched using only 1mm plastic sheet as much as possible to reduce weight.

The Gundam head was made by combining scratched plastic sheet and parts from Kotobukiya’s Hexa Gear.

The neck? of the Gundam head was made by wrapping vinyl cords and PVC hoses obtained from 100 yen shops and home centers around it.
