ザッツ・イザッツ’s HGUC 1/144 Gundam “D.B.R.” (A completely transformable original MS “I’m going to turn my son’s robot into a Gundam”) a lot of images, info and credits

This work is an original robot from my own idea of ”turning my son’s robot into a Gundam”. It started when I thought about arranging the robot we made together as a Gundam model during the summer vacation when my son was in the first grade of elementary school.
At that time (when my son was in the first grade of elementary school), my son’s requests were… 1. To transform and run like “Tomica” or “Plarail” 2. To have cool weapons like drills and shovels I made it out of milk cartons and plastic bottles to fulfill these requests. The following photo is a comparison image with the robot at that time.
For the drills and shovels, I used toys purchased at a 100 yen shop…or so I thought. For “turning it into a Gundam,” I left it to Satanic Weapons to solve the problem… (It’s not a shovel though…) When not attached to the arm, it can be mounted near the waist.
For the base body, I combined a full cone psychoframe that was left over from the production of the Full Armor Silver Bullet with a Banshee that I bought at a bargain price at a second-hand shop. For the head, I used the Hi-ν head that was left over from making the fake Hi-ν. I think the shape after transformation is well done. (By the way, it can be completely transformed without any replacement parts, and thanks to the 30mm quad bike parts, you can actually roll it around like Tomica or Plarail.)
You can attach Satanic Weapons parts to the shield on the back, and I also thought of a weapon like the shield boomerang that appears in SEED FREEDOM.
This was inspired by a transformation at the time (when my son was in the first grade of elementary school) where “only the arms become another car.” The first picture I drew had a “sword” drawn on it, so I also made the beam saber standard equipment. The photo below shows the “transformation procedure” into a “car”.
The transformation structure is “Wing Gundam type,” or what is known as a “lying down transformation,” but by angling the rear shield to create space for the legs, it is quite compact!
You can see how compact it is even when viewed from the side. The versatility of the 30MM kit allows me to create a machine that can transform completely without a complex structure. Below are some photos I’ve taken.
I tried placing the weapons in front of the body, following the example of a previous user, and it looks really good! However, it’s a shame that there isn’t much space to spread out, as I took the photos in a homemade booth made from three sheets of construction paper… I want to spread it out even more…
I used the nose part of the “car form” as a “support” on the back, and designed it so that it can stand on its own without an action base.
The shield booster on the back can be attached to the arm, just like a normal MS.
This machine is a monster MS equipped with a total of nine drone-type funnels, including the “fake fin funnels”…
All weapons that can be held in the hand or equipped on the arms can be mounted on the quad bike parts on the waist.
