This year’s 16th issue of Shueisha’s Weekly Shonen Jump magazine is revealing on Monday that the new Hunter × Hunter television anime series (previous post) will begin airing with new opening and ending theme songs on April 15. Masatoshi Ono will perform the new opening theme song “departure! -second version-,” and the band Galneryus will perform the new ending theme song “Hunting for Your Dream.” Ono became Galneryus’ vocalist in 2009.
The television anime series has featured Ono’s “departure!” opening theme song since it premiered in Japan last October. Galneryus previously contributed theme songs for the Rainbow – Nisha Rokubō no Shichinin and RIN – Daughters of Mnemosyne television anime series.
